The Client-Therapist relationship is the most important part of our working together.

Here are some ways in which Hands In Motion ensures a productive, healthy client-therapist relationship:

  • Goals for the Session-provided will be established prior to commencement – both David and his client will have an understanding of the unique, session-based and ongoing, outcome that is desired by the client and will work toward that Goal,
  • David will provide information about the methods and techniques he uses with his clients, and Why, in order to get his clients’ Informed Consent; when a client is unsure of the information, s/he will not feel as if s/he should not ask David to clarify in order to understand the work he does and how it affects her/him. A plan of action (eg. Treatment Plan) is always a two-way conversation and agreement between David and his client and may be considered a work in progress, during every moment in a massage therapy session,
  • All personal and personal health information is considered Confidential and will be treated as such,
  • Timely and complete health condition-reporting is essential for David to be able to safely and effectively provide Services – each, David and his client, will inform the other of any potential conflicts of safety to the other in this regard,
  • It remains each of David’s and his client’s responsibility to effectively communicate session-needs in order to achieve therapeutic outcome before, during, and after any massage therapy session – David maintains an open-door policy of communication and expects the same of his clients; if there are any post-session, negative outcomes that a client believes s/he is experiencing due to the massage therapy session: David needs to know so he may assist in its understand &/or resolve,
  • David expects the same of his clients when he does not discriminate the work he is trained to do and provides his clients based on gender, race, creed, physical ability, or any other non-massage-therapy-related status – only Contraindications of massage therapy will be denied service at the time of scheduling, with intent to reschedule upon resolve of the Contraindication. The lack of equipment or outside health-considerations may prevent timely provision of the stated Services Hands In Motion offers,
  • David will never use any perceived or actual power differential in the relationship to coerce, influence, or persist in the sale of items or topics that may or may not be of interest to his client,
  • David and his client will always communicate any discomfort or dissatisfaction during the massage therapy Session – every attempt will be made to satisfy the concern, utilizing an incontrovertible solution.
